Global Entrepreneurship Program students attend 8th World Entrepreneurship Forum in China!

This year, 15 students of the Global Entrepreneurship Program have been selected to attend the World Entrepreneurship Forum taking place in Hangzhou, China from October 19th to the 22nd.

During 4 days, the group of students will have the opportunity to attend all conferences, master classes, company visits, workshops and open debates centered around the topic of “Global entrepreneurship: connected continents, new opportunities”. The Global Entrepreneurship Program students will have the opportunity to meeting inspiring entrepreneurs and business angels including the Co-founder of Changemakers, the Director of Lenovo and the Co-founder, former President and Chief Technological Officer of WebEx!

With “Making a difference: entrepreneurship students impacting the global community” as their theme, the students are official ambassadors of the Global Entrepreneurship Program. Working in close collaboration with members of the Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum who will also be attending the event, the students will conduct structured video interviews, attend and prepare summaries of Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum and World Entrepreneurship Forum sessions and are available to support the EMLYON staff.

As part of their assignment, the group of students will conduct a street project and visit the Zhejiang Science Park to interview companies in order to capture the spirit of entrepreneurship in the City of Hangzhou. The students will return to Lyon with lots of learnings, insights and memories to share with their classmates.

Furthermore, the group of students will be able to experiment first-hand what life is like in Hangzhou where they will be spending the second part of the program from January to May 2016 while attending courses at Zhejiang University.

What’s the World Entrepreneurship Forum?

Founded by EMLYON Business School, the Singapore Institution Action Community for Entrepreneurship, Nanyang Technological University, Hangzhou City, and Zhejiang University in China, the World Entrepreneurship Forum is the first worldwide forum devoted to entrepreneurs, creators of wealth and social justice.

Gathering a community of entrepreneurs from five different continents, this organization is a “think and do tank” with the aim of “sharing the latest trends and issues about global entrepreneurship, developing ideas and recommendations and facilitating entrepreneurial initiatives on a local and global scale.”
